Lineage Bureau is a service of Zoidworks LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company. We use the information you submit to assess and research the deceased relative you identify, communicate with you, protect the service from abuse, and fulfill any research service you purchase.

Information we collect

We collect your name, email address, the family-history details you choose to provide, your deceased-person attestation, service records, and limited technical information needed for security and reliability. Do not submit information about living people.

How information is handled

Service providers may process limited information for hosting, payment, email delivery, and assisted research. Payment details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Lineage Bureau. We do not send genealogy details to advertising platforms and do not sell personal information.

Retention and choices

Free intake records are retained while the scan is prepared and for a limited operational period afterward. Paid research records may be retained to deliver and support the commissioned work. You may request access or deletion, subject to legal and operational obligations.
