Lineage Bureau is a service of Zoidworks LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company. By submitting an intake, you confirm that the research subject is deceased and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Contacting the Bureau

The contact form sends your enquiry to the Bureau by email, as described in our privacy notice. It does not use an AI chat model or start automated research. Sending a message does not start a paid service, take a payment, or guarantee a research result or delivery date. Any research engagement is agreed separately.

Research evidence and limitations

An initial research lead may identify candidate records, a promising family trail, or a useful next-record route. A lead is not a genealogical proof conclusion and does not establish that a record belongs to the person you named. Source links, indexes, snippets, collaborative trees, and retrospective accounts remain leads until the underlying records and identity chain are reviewed.

Paid Research Sprint

A Research Sprint is a fixed-scope research service around one accepted question. Research can be inconclusive. We promise an honest account of the sources searched, findings, conflicts, limits, and recommended next step—not a predetermined answer.

Refunds

A paid Sprint may be refunded in full before research begins. Once research has started, the work and resulting brief will be delivered even if the evidence is inconclusive. Zoidworks LLC may issue additional refunds at its discretion.

Responsible use

Do not use the service to investigate living people, locate someone who does not wish to be found, make employment, credit, insurance, housing, legal, or safety decisions, or obtain information unlawfully.
